I already know the answer to this question would be yes. I am gonna ask for input anyway. Local guy getting rid of some man cave stash. I have not had a chance to inspect yet. I believe this will be a must have cash in hand or it’s gonna on E-bat situation. He always takes good care ,so I am suspecting it’s not hacked up. Any work would have been done at a shop. The limiter should still be in it. Even if it will need some attention. I am assuming the 150 he’s asking for an operating Uniden Washington is a good price. It has Uniden label.
My only concern is the extra channel mods with the switches for Uppers and Lowers, as ong as the PLL locks is there any problems with the so called poor mans channel mods if done correctly.
My father wants to set up a base station in the room the grandsons bedroom in when they are over. He getting more and more back into CB since the base antenna he helped me put up at my house exceeded expectations from a home brew put together job. New project is at his house.
I am thinking the Uniden Washington will be a thumbs up. His old times base was a Royce 23 channel base station, it went to HiFi Heaven back in the BC times. “Before Cellular.” I think a true base would be best so the grandsons to learn rather than using a mobile as a base radio.
