Am I right that this works best with HTs that have A and B PTT keys? I have a couple that do, but it seems like you set one VFO to transmit and another to receive, then adjust the receive channel on VFO A while transmitting on VFO B. Or do many radios permit transmitting on VHF while listening on UHF? I have never tried setting a crossband memory before. My HTs are all Chinese units.
This looks like great fun, honestly. My major upgrade this month is going to be a NanoVNA … I think I'm also buying a tape measure, some coax, and a bit of PVC. I might need a mailing tube for YL compatibility as we live in a shoebox. Fortunately there's a nice park with lots of open space a block from the door.
