Voltage Booster?

The 30a MFJ-4416 according to the one eham review is defective and they are trying to sort out a fix. It is currently priced at $139. per the eham site: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/7504

N8XJK claims that MFJ "stole" his old design but he has a new and improved one that is 40A CCS $225.: The N8XJK Super Booster

Are there other voltage boosters out there that can hold the voltage up to 13.8 even when the battery or automobile system dips to 10 or 11v? (I would not want it below 11v since that will kill the battery.)

I thought I had also read of much larger models capable of 80+ amps CCS. Anyone know of a source for those, please?
