This radio was in production for over 20 years, from around 1991 or 1992 until around 2006 or so. Internal production details didn't change from year to year quite as much as a passenger car, but the design evolved over the decades.
Bear also in mind that another importer sold that exact radio with the name badge "Eagle 5000".
The original RCI2990 model is essentially the exact same radio made by the same vendor.
Tricky part if you want a low-mileage 1990s car is finding one. What you are seeking would be the radio equivalent of a "barn find" 1997 Turbo radio. People who bought this radio would tend to put it to use. This eventually reveals the design faults of the power supply. We just refer to it as "suicidal", since when it fails the radio's computer gets slammed.
The fix is deceptively simple. The switchmode "brick" power supply that RCI has used in the 2995 models since 2006 contain all the protection circuits that the old one with the large, heavy transformer did not provide. The 350-Watt switchmode brick power supplies are widely available these days.
.We won't repair this kind of radio whatever the name badge unless we also replace that power supply. Sending it home with the original factory power supply is a liability I don't need.
If you find a clean, acceptable radio to buy that has the old heavy transformer power supply, consider having the power supply upgraded. This will extend the radio's useable life span.
