Found this Add on Vk clasifieds. Waverley Amateur Radio Society invites applications from persons aged 25 or under for a Scholarship to study at our club for the Foundation Licence. This covers the cost of the two day course, first year's Radio licence fee, a dual band vhf/uhf handheld and free first year membership to our club. Will be interesting to see how they get on. Good deal for someone thinking about getting their licence.

At leased this club is proactive at getting new hams on air. Will be very interesting to see how many they get through and how many are left after the free year. On a side note, 2 day course for the foundation licence ! I predate that licence so I checked the requirements. I'm shocked it's so easy !
Back in the day their was plenty of idiots on the radio and many of them were 25 yrs old and less.

@ heartbreaker3473:Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
