How hard is it to tap into a telegraph? I'm sure it happened during the Civil War, it'd have only made sense. In fact it's not like telegraphs were particularly secure lines of communication anyway.

Personally I just keep in mind there's no completely secure communication method and treat them all that way.. If it's too private, I'll say it in person.
