What good 10 meter amps with SSB Biasing are ones to look for?

Hello,

Lately been thinking about picking up a good 10 meter amp. Got an older Realistic HTX-100 id like to use with it. I am just not familiar with which amps that one could still buy good/used that have proper SSB biasing. Cobra XL 350 is one that comes to mind, but isn't that amp based off a Palomar? I would like to keep it a 2 transistor amp. Any brand recommendations appreciated. I also seen a Boomer Deluxe 250, but unsure if that has SSB Biasing.

Thanks for reading and hope everyone has a great day.
Buy a Legal Amateur Amplifier with filtering built into the amplifier. CB Amplifiers are DIRTY & Splatter across the bands including 6 meters. Leave the 11 meter garbage on 11 meters where nobody cares about splatter or noise.

Will a low pass filter inline with the amp not work if I got a smaller amp to use while camping so I didn't have to lug a big amp?

No. It will help reduce harmonics, but that is all. It will do NOTHING to reduce in-band IMD or just plain distortion of the signal caused by the hard switching of the transistors in class C.

I run a MX-P50m amplifier with my KX2 when needed for SOTA activations. 40 watts output when not over-driven.
Now that looks pretty good. I also been meaning to do SOTA. I only ever did POTA a couple of times. There is some smaller mountains out in Nevada I wouldn't mind hiking up and setting up.

For SOTA and POTA many things are important besides more power. The antenna, height of antenna and feedline all factor in.
I should be 3 x Mountain Goat by spring, possibly the first or second in Canada. Give it a try and remember to have fun.

If you activate SOTA, please let me know.
Will do. The one that comes to mind is Lone Mountain outside of Lovelock, Nevada. I think by then I can have a setup I can deploy. Most likely on 20 meters to be sure I can get out, or I can lug a tuner as well to try other bands like 15,12, or 10.

The Scout 555 radio I got in 2019 still works ok.

Messenger (biased), Texas Star, Palomar-Boomer-Galaxy, Commander (Palomar) are some of the ones I have used over the years. Most, if not all have been modded in some fashion that they could be considered home brew. Never a complaint.
