Yaesu FL2100B Question

I have begun a restoration on a Yaesu FL2100B and am wondering if I can add a 3 conductor power cord to this unit for safety reasons. It will be wired for 120vAC operation.

yes. I did on mine.
I put some new line filters too. THE FIRST 2 IMAGES SHOW THE OLD CORD
There was enough meat on the transformer bolt to add the strain relief and a 2nd nut
