Hi everyone, I recently bought a Yaesu FIF-232c CAT system interface to go with my Yaesu FT-757GXII so I can link it up with my computer. Everything came with it, but the transceiver-interface cable that came with it isn't matching up. The plug jack on the box is for a male 6 pin din styled plug ... and the plug jack on the Yaesu FT-757GXII is for a male 6 pin mini din styled plug. The transceiver interface cable that came with the 232c has a male 6 pin din at both ends and it isn't matching up with the 757GXII.

I'm confused because I know that this is the right system interface for the 757 , and it can work with my 897 too ... so I have no idea why they aren't matching up. Needless to say, I'm trying to find a transceiver interface control cable with a male 6 pin din styled plug on one end ... and a male 6 pin mini din styled plug on the other end. Does anyone here know of any places that sell these type of interface control cables ?

A search on fleabay for "FT-757 CAT cable" turned up a bunch of sources, mostly with a FTDI USB serial port.

I typed in "FT-757 CAT cable" on ebay as well, and I got the same thing . A bunch of FTDI USB serial port cords. Which I already have ... it came with the 757 when I bought it . But the software that came with it is junk, it doesn't want to work . So instead, I bought the FIF-232c to hook it to my computer. But of course it didn't come with the cord that has the male 6 pin din styled plug at one end ... and the male 6 pin mini din at the other end. The only thing that was missing is the only cord that's needed to connect the Yaesu radios and the FIF-232c.

Thanks BJ, CW-MAN is actually in my Saved Sellers list on ebay. But I didn't know he'd make custom cords . I'll have to send him a message. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.
