11 Meter Forum Call Channel

I remember back in the early (Charger383) days of this forum we used to use 27.475LSB as a forum call channel. Is there a reason that fell by the wayside? That was 2 skip cycles ago and there was a boatload of forum members and others on it all day long. I was nice to get away from the "SSB Superbowl" and make good contacts and good conversations on the radio without a whole bunch of "Fire in the Wire"!

Sounds good to me. It is always good to get away from just making a contact and moving on. I will try when I can on 27.475LSB, probably not today though as I will be busy and my modified 148 in the mobile skips that frequency :-(
Defiantly will try from the house.

That would be awesome to have a channel to meet up on, but 475 is out of reach for a CB. Maybe it would be better to try 40 USB? Or another channel USB?

I don't recall, but in the early days I think a vast majority of the members were "freebanders" and it worked out well.

475 would work for about half of my radios, the other half would feel left out.

I'm with Shade and Forrest to some degree, I can get to 475 on all of my rigs, but my current rig is am/fm only.........planning a swap soon though......

Yes thats all I can hear at this time to . Not to good for the 1st time try , maybe some other time I,m out at 3;15 to the next time.

Sounds like a good idea,I would like to chat and make contact with my Radio Friends from this Forum, I can reach 475 on my Rig,but perhaps we should use 405 so everyone can reach it so to speak,jmo... have a great day today folks and God Bless!
