I don't see a kit for the version 1 858 Grant. Only the Uniden 196A and 999. I'm thinking this will work https://klondikemikescapkits.com/products/president-washington-electrolytic-capacitor-kit-v1And when the 46 year-old electrolytic capacitors begin to 'remember' how old they are, Klondike Mike can fix you up with a full kit of 3 dozen caps (or so) at a decent price.
If it works, this is clearly a low-mileage radio. But like a 46 year-old radiator hose, you'll experience a breakdown after putting some miles on it. Just no telling how many miles.

I'll have to check the board for compatibility. This may be what you are looking for. You need to confirm the main board number to ensure compatibility.

Well, since the radio has never been modified, I don't think it's an issue, but still a good idea, nonetheless. It's not just the years, but the miles, too. A low-mileage radio will take longer to 'remember' how old it is. Might as well get your money's worth from the 46 year-old caps.
Just one suggestion: Pluck out C179. It's rated at 25 Volts, and any increase in AM modulation past 100 percent will exceed that cap's voltage rating. It routinely then fails as a short circuit. Not healthy for the uobtanium relay and other parts. A cap rated at 35 Volts or more will do just fine. Doesn't have to be a tantalum. I'm told that an aluminum electrolytic works just fine. And other folks will tell you not to bother to replace it, just remove it.
But they all agree, remove it no matter what you do next.
