Besides the Autek research WM-1 meter, is there another meter that reads SWR without having to recalibrate like the wm-1 ???

i heard bad reports about the Daiwa-?? ones not being accurate

I use 801HP since ages, accurate enough for daily use.
For more accurate power measurements I use DMM or scope.

I've compared my daily driver Daiwa 501 to a Bird and they were very close. The Daiwa was a wee bit conservative in its reading on the 150 watt scale, but it is still very close to the Bird.

I use Daiwa-type MFJ meters to observe the input side of amplifiers. Since the SWR tends to change as drive level rises and falls, it tells you right now what your mismatch is under all drive levels. The design is legit.
