Yeah your probably right and I can't remember when I changed that battery. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, but then again time flies when your having Fun ! Maybe it's time to get my load tester out and check it before winter gets here.

Great. I’ve ordered multiple radios direct from them with no problem. $239 is a very good price for the QT-80 with the bundle deal. I’d jump on it.
jumped. $258 out the door. cheaper than trying to make a good ssb rig out of the old 2980. variable nrc that i wish my k-po dx5000 had.
I wish someone would make an affordable NRC module that I could put in my old Galaxies. These new radios have spoiled me and it's hard to go back.
No bigger than say the west mountain clr dsp module is, it could be roughly the size of an echo board. Use a dual control pot with an on/off on the inner knob, power ground to the board, in and out on for audio on the speaker trace and we could be golden.
We just need someone to build it!
That could be a really nice add on for our ranger, galaxy radios.
So has anyone found a fix for the low power on 15M?? Mine does 10-14W SSB, 50W FM, and 100+W on AM. I have the newest model with the newest firmware. I have the SWR deal disabled as well so I can use my LDG auto tuner. Even into my paint can dummy load its still only 10-14W on SSB. I have two of these rigs and get the same results, one for the shop and one for the truck with the Tar Heel screwdriver antenna. Its like its seeing High SWR and folding back the power but the SWR is fine with the tuner and the dummy load, kind strange how its only on SSB. All the other bands work as intended.
There really isn't a "fix", the 15 meter band was really not a feature of the Pro, it's a extra, or as Pez says a gift band.
It's kinda stretching the limits of the hardware in the radio moving that far out of band.

I hear ya. Its just strange it makes 100+W on AM but only 10-14W on 15M SSB. I figured it might be a bug in the HI SWR detection circuit or something when using SSB. I figured if the internal amp can make 100+W 15M AM it should do way more then what I get on SSB.
No big deal in the shop as I have a low drive 160-6 meter BLF188 amp but in the truck its a HUGE issue LOL.
Every RF circuit has it's limits. The radio is not designed for 21 MHz operation. 21 MHz is beyond the design limits. Be happy with what you have, it is nice when the upper bands are closed and 15m is open. I measure 49 Watts PEP on mine at 21 MHz.
I have just received the Anytone 6666Pro. It performs just as they had said and better . 105 watts max on am and ssb, Now here is my question. I noticed on am there is very little swing maybe 2 watts at best. Is there a way to get this radio to swing from for (example 2 watts to full power ) ? I dont like running a high dead key on any radio just to get more power because from experience that is hard on the finals. Any help would be much appreciated .
I know what you mean. You can trip out a PLL WAY beyond the limits of a CB radio's RF ability. Its just hard to understand why AM can do 100+Watts on 15M but only 10-14 Watts on 15M, while CW and FM do 50+ Watts on 15M. Seems as if 15M SSB should do more. This is why I was wondering if there is a software hiccup with the HI SWR circuit on SSB seeing the other modes do so much more power. 15M is my preferred band so it was a bit disappointing. I love the radio, dont get me wrong, I think for $300 its a great Rig even if it didnt have 15M.
Mine behaves like all my Ham Radios, its about a 4-ish power multiplication factor, example, 5W swings to 20, while 20 swings to 80. This keeps your audio in check as well so you dont sound like a Turd with super swing audio junk sound from the old CB days of cutting limiters as such, LOL.
I just checked mine after reading this, on my LP-100A meter on SSB it shows 42 watts with a hard whistle on 21.340 Mhz. With my big mouth spoken voice it hovers around 18 to 25 watts. I haven't done any swing or power mods to this radio. Most of us here bought these new from Scotts Radio because he was one of the first US dealers that had them and I requested no mods just full coverage TX/RX within the radio's capabilities.
I'm gonna hide behind a wall and throw this out there... GNF. lots of people would love to destroy GNF, and it only seems to work with very strong signals. to keep post related, does anybody have insight on the variable nrc for the q6p? i would imagine it works far better than the all or nothin nrc of the k-po dx5000
