    I was given a SB201. The band switch only has 15M , no 10M. If you want to run on 10/11M what do you have to do? I have put a new capacitor board in it. Transformer checks ok. Have not triad too run it yet, it does light up. Jim/238

    I am not always sure what kind of resistor to use. Would it be best to use metal film or carbon film or carbon compose. I have 390k 3watt metal film and some carbon 470k 2 watt. Witch would be best? Jim/238

    Rebuilding a SB 200 for AM. Have installed a new capacitor broad i got from ebay. I was wondering about any good tips i might need too do to it to make it a stronger amp. Not sure about drive watts i should use? Any tips will be helpful. Jim/238

    I am running about 25 watts, any thing more makes the transformer buzz. So i can assume the transformer is ok? It only buzzes if i put 40 + watts in it, so i will not do that again. Next project is a Heathkit SB 200. Jim/238

    I have a 2100b i ran with my Yaesu 101. Tried too run it last night with my mini scout, behind my Browning's. Made the transformer buzz. What is the max AM drive can you put in it safely. Jim/238

    Sonar 2340

    Noticed the meter keys at 6 & swings almost all the way over when i talk. But when i use my mini scout it keys 0 & barely moves. Is this caused by a mismatch, or just that it affects the meter? The radio talks great either way. 238

    Mini Scout

    Well i changed the 5763 & the 6GH8. The 6GH8 grid tested all the way over in the red. I put the scout back in line an every thing is working good. I did learn a lot about my mini scout. Thanks for all the help. Jim/238
