Yes I have two xl-600’s and was wanting to make a xl-1000 out of the two any Info would be helpful. I know they both use the same cabinet, the 1000 has one more driver tube and two more final tubes and one more transformer. I think I have all the parts needed just need some technical information

So if I had a 4148 regular sized diode Could I use it instead also which way does the banded end go

Looked with Magnifying glass and could not make out any markings on the diode

went back to factory specs Seems like average output is a little low only getting about 4 W average on low and eight on high also TR 51 is getting hot the a.m. modulation amp is this normal it gets pretty hot
