I use teflon, and the ones I've seen either etch the board or use a spacer used teflon also. It makes perfect sense if you're using enamelled wire.... I guess you just can't be too safe. Thank you for the reply.

Why are port combiners not directly on the board. In example I noticed one amplifier builder removes the copper under where the port combiner will be placed, and noticed another uses a plastic insulator between the combiner and the board. What is the technical reason for doing this? I am very...

My model t 40 channel just developed an issue, where when I key the mic all power falls out. So I key it and get 3 watts then in a matter of a second its dropped to .6 watts. Is this a tube issue?

Here is a new to me problem with the model T. I warm her up then key her up and.power drops from 3 or 4 watts to .6 and lower. Is this a tube issue? All tubes are lit up but clearly that doesn't mean a whole lot sometimes. Where should I start my search for the issue??

My swr was through the roof when I keyed up today. I found the wire to look like it was chewed..going to replace with solid 12g and see how it works.
