Still won't work. The amount of power needed to light the LEDs is more than a panel can make for the surface area an LED can illuminate.

I have a Midland 75-820. It will transmit about as far as I could throw it.

It was. I lost track of how many calls from college students yelling at us, asking how we were going to recover their data, etc.

I understand the rules and wish to enter into the drawing

they were terribly unreliable. local collage here required students to use them so at the start of every school year we would get a bunch of calls to buy them. Then a couple months later get the angry calls when they lost all their work.

That can still be repaired. Depends if you want to buy/make a spot welder yourself, or buy cells with solder tabs or buy from a reseller who will spot weld for a small charge.

I had to fix my canon SX60HS camera. Somehow bumped the lens. Had to follow the ifixit teardown to get to the lens section then a youtube where someone took that apart and inside the front lens was held by a small plastic ring which snaps in place so I was able to just put it back in place and...

I started with commodore then Amiga then dos and windows 3.1 so when I found Slackware and the text installer I was comfortable with it.

Some say XP was decent after several service packs but early XP was a dud. I had ran windows 2000 since the texhnet beta and it was fast and stable. Then bought a new laptop with XP and it was nothing but problems. Switched over to Linux and never went back

I find Linux to be the most Amiga like os

Just don't try to use windows for those internet exposed home automation things, they get owned pretty quick. It's really easy to do this with small SBC's like raspberry pi. I've ran my own server for years first using Owncloud on an raspberry pi (1) and later Nextcloud. All my stuff is backed...

I never hit the jackpot though :)

A raspberry pi make a nice small cheap dedicated system. And people will still try to brute force passwords even if you don't use them, they just let their script run. I posted this on a forum just yesterday, I don't have a wordpress site yet they are trying it and useless sites like bing are...

I'm probably the smallest ever, and shared with other hobbies. And hard to get a good picture with my phone on the wall of the other side of the closet.

Same with the girl who hit my house. She gave false insurance info to the police (someone else's insurance card) so she didn't get an uninsured motorist ticket and then our insurance had to pay for the damages and is suing her but she works for walmart so once they start taking from her check...
