after the change in license from 5 to 3 types has there been any change in the amateur radio band chart.if so what frequencies can a tech use.ssb or am.i have the older chart but need an update.thanks
i have 2 transformers out of the D&A,was thinking about using 4 811a tubes.this should make a good little amp.don't know if i can use anymore of the parts from the D&A.thanks
i have a old D&A Maverick 4 driving 4,just wondering what voltage is on the transformers.how close are they to what i need to build a amp with 811a tubes in it.the D&A isn't working to test the voltage.thanks
this jb2000 doesn't have a place for a driver tube,i'm guessing its a high drive.it does have a band switch.10 to 80 meters.someone did some bad soldering in it,need to replace some wire to make it look better.already put a good power cord on it.fix it or buy a sb-220,think ill work on it some...
thanks for the help,i havn't used this amp in a few years,8 maybe.but i put new caps in it just before i stored it.i used a cobra 1000 with variable watts.
heathkit hw100 looks different where mike plugs in.looks like a two wire of some kind.what did the mike plugin look like and how many wires does it use.also need wiring digram.
the 750 maco has 1 (8950) driving 2 (6KN6) driving 6 (8950) one of the 6KN6 tubes is bad,should i replace with same or put 8950s back in there place.it would have to have the voltage changed back to the 8950 voltage.would it be worth the change.
no resisters on capacitors,this maco has low and hi.it has a wire between the capacitors,the other wire uses both capacitors.both wires go to low/hi switch.
