    Eightwood RG400

I use RG400 for every run. It is slick and weathers very well. I can pull through my conduit with ease 50 feet with three sweeps and 4 runs in 1 inch PVC I'm going to run CCTV Siamese cable along for a security camera on the same mount. That wont pull so easy with the other coax but with enough...

    SWR before linear

Acquire a 50ohm load that will handle your out put from radio. install it at the end of your jumper at the amp input end and read SWR there. If you get high reading there throw it in the trash. Get another JUMPER made with NEW 50 ohm coax and new PL259 connectors. You said that the connectors...

    6-meter Magic Band question

I was there listening But only heard KZ4RR faintly, intermittently, down in the mud. I could hear a word or two from some place but not enough to entice me to jump in this morning. I'll keep trying to hear some each morning.

6Meter I run a Ramsey 6 meter kit for a couple years back in 1993? was alot of fun back then and made a few scheduals around Noon when I could leave the shop and go for lunch. I would find a high spot and operate in Gainesville Florida. Then 6 meter faded away into the abius. Last...

    Buddy Hex. mounting??

The mount is made of some composite stuff I guess its strong?? I did not bend this out of round it slides in to the bottom of the hex antenna mount and has a clamp to fasten this into the bottom. I guess I can fasten it to the outside of standard mast size with worm gear clamps. Like hose clamps??

DP 200 portable broad band antenna

Thank ya'll! I have to run my coax inside next, and tune the antenna. For the tripod mount I found at the hardware store some long screws 24 inches long with 5/16 hex head. I run those through the feet (two on each foot) into the ground that hold the tripod with antenna at 20 feet real good. I...

DP 200 portable broad band antenna

I'm a sucker for believing antenna designs. So I bought a DP200 whizz bang antenna that works from 7MHZ to 54MHZ. I haven't put it on a pole yet. Mine did not include the 40 meter matcher loop. I have enough stuff to make a loop if I had the dimensions. So folks could another follower of these...
