The 6 & 10 meter have a ring of 13" diameter, the 2 meter has a 4" ring. I had both the 6m and the 2m and sold them, I don't have any of the manuals anymore either.

Try a small potentiometer in line with the bulb, adjust as needed.

I usually use the simplex UHF band on my handheld to a VHF repeater frequency on the TM-V71a mounted in the truck

I have been using the TM-V71 for 8 years now and think its a solid radio. I mostly use it as a base using the Kenwood MC-60 desk mic and a Diamond X50 base antenna at around 30ft. I'm only have 50ft of 8X cable, could do better with LMR400! Had to put around 5 magnetic clip-on chokes to stop...

I had good result with 20m, 15, &10m with my inverted fan dipole, now I know why.

I have an inverted "V" (Omni-directional) dipole in my attic and it works great. My attic is 12' at its peak and no ductwork nearby. If you run the dipole horizontal it will become directional, the ends of the antenna will have the weak signals.

I used one until I fixed my Turner +3, was ok.

My 2pill, TS350, does around 160 watts. Enough for local use and a 30 amp PS. to power it.
