Easiest way is actually wire them into the mic head one at a time and test them over the air with a neighbor for how they sound - you can measure their audio volume strength by watching how well they drive the modulation on your wattmeter compared to a known good one.

I'll read someone else's results. Arrived today. TX only in FM. Was not supplied with a needed SMA Male Adapter for the HF Port. So many functions looks dreadfully complicated to program. Returned it.

So I did a Buy on one of these for the $65 just to FAFO. No big deal. Some websites and people say it only transmits only on FM while others say different things. Guess I'll find out. Will still be cool to have an HT with this wide of a VLF and HF range plus it apparently at least does TX on...

Just seeing this today. From Radtel - Iradio UV-98 Plus. Have skimmed some manuals and spec sheets on different sites. Wide Band. RX down into LW, has HF Segment 18-32mhz. Rx further up to 1Ghz. Is a 10 watter. TRANSMITS on AM & SSB at least in the 18-32meg portion. Seen this info while browsing...

I used to have a 751A. Awesome receiver. Quadripple Conversion therefore wonderful selectivity. If I recall correctly the MARS Mod was super easy - cut a green wire under the top cover. Superb SSB rig. Low-Level AM modulation as were all rigs of that era so pretty useless on AM.

Unbelievable ..... still going at 8:20pm eastern. So many times 6 opens for an hour or two but I can't really remember an All Day Long opening like today. Pretty Awesome. Staying around TX, MO, OK, KS, IA for me.

Been open since around 8am. Still going at 3:00pm. From GA have worked TX, MD, PA, NY, IL, KS. Also made one on the AM Calling freq. of 50.400 with 25 watts - Icom 7300

Ya it's legal but - they are excluding Generals from being able to make contacts with them artificially shortening their potential scores. I don't get it. Examples: Field Day, State QSO Party's, POTA, SOTA

It's higher but still in the negligible range - correct with tuner just for fun. Works fine. Also use tuner to have it work on 12 and even 15 meters. Works really good.

There's a local who has a Bulldog. Impressive looking meter for sure. A Working Original. Don't know if he got it calibrated but it needed a calibration - the different watt level settings didn't match .... but once doing that would be an awesome meter for sure. Would love to have it over here.
