I was monitoring a local SDR on 20m and viewed something I've never seen before ... a call sign displayed on the waterfall. How is that done? If it is only a function of the SSTV mode, could it not be incorporated into a voice mode? Like a roger beep feature that would ID the station at each key-up.

Way, way cool! Never have seen that until now. I need that in a noise toy that 'thweeps' every time I unkey.

There are a few radio modes that can "draw" images using spectrum that show
up in a waterfall display. The oldest one I know of is Hellschreiber:

Done. Use the JPG to Audio converter. Create WAV file. You know what to do next.
