I'm partial to my President Grant Classic export. I use a Heil HC-5 Microphone element in the stock hand microphone case, and have good, clear audio with that combination. It is also very loud!

That would indeed be a nice combination.

Thanks, DTB!

I've tried lots of radios, but always seem to come back to the old Grants.

Super Wacked Pack General Lee

A Radioactive Mod on a General Lee or Washington. I kick butt and is Loud and Clear. Get it Super Wacked Pack and you will not go wrong.

i had to do it.

first thing you never do is get a radio active radio. you will sound like your talking from the swamp. the loudest radios here in northern va are the magnums and strykers. hands down. all with limiters intact. perfectly clear also.

LMAO!!!!!!

some of the nickname's they use for a tx/rx allignment are wierd these days.....

dont forget the "super tune"!!!!!!!

i recently retuned a general lee from radio active. it had a diode that im still attempting to figure out the benifit, remover tr32 AND scratch the trace. also volted the finals. I unvolted, fixed the trace. tuned it our way. I only need to put a new tr32 in. I ran out. But this guy is getting more compliments on his set up now.AAAA proof in the pudding is so nice.

What I consider loud is a Uniden grant XL with a stock mic attached to a 1x2x8. Gets most peoples attention better than an over modulated distorted 40 watt radio. Just think, 30+ DB 25-30 miles away. Absolutely my opinion.

the loudest radio on the market is the 4600 turbo.

I haven't heard the 4300hp 300 yet; so I can't give an opinion on that one yet.

The 4600 turbo with a 4pill fatboy is even louder; or at least get out farther so it seem louder

I have to throw in my 2 cents... Loudest export I've heard, is my magnum M-1. It's crystal clear, but so loud everyone tells me they have to turn their volume down when I talk, and that's with an astatic 636. Loudest CB I heard has to be a Peaked and tuned uniden PC78.

Those old Connex/Superstar 3300s with there original echo boards in them were some loud SOB's !! But the loudest radio I've ever heard was a HR2510 , that was so loud it would hurt your teeth !! weather I was 5 miles away from him or 25 miles away , that radio had audio out of the gallows of hell !!! but yet I have heard a few cobra 2000s on shure 5-26Ts that might have been the loudest , proudest and cleanest cb radios I've eer heard. Yeap ,also 29s and 25s with knock you out of seat type audio on them, weather or not they were clipped , swing kitted or not , they were just nasty freak'in loud !!

Glad you could hear me on my HR 2510....
