I was talking to a fish monger on Hatteras Island last September and he said fish markets and local restaurants can't get locally caught fish because the most of the catch is being exported.
I added the G4HUP IF tap board to my ftdx-1200. I can't recall which SDR stick I bought but I couldn't get it to work well enough to be usable. It was also picking up a way to much electrical noise from my PC and radios from lack of shielding. Kind of lost interest in it.
Also works as a scope to monitor your rx and tx audio, I honestly don't pay much attention to it. The active band and audio scope function on the 7300 is much more useful to me and its not an add-on.

I think you need to be able to view on a watt meter or listen your output on a separate receiver to really see if the momentary spike on the LED display is anything to be concerned about.
It may be nothing . Do you have another receiver you can listen to your own signal on?? The original longer hang time after you un-keyed was definitely the roger beep.

I agree with CK on rf getting into the tuner. I used to use an LDG tuner that would hunt for a tune when it didn't need to and just grind until I bypassed it. Just turn off the tuner and check the swr.
