I think you need to be able to view on a watt meter or listen your output on a separate receiver to really see if the momentary spike on the LED display is anything to be concerned about.

It may be nothing . Do you have another receiver you can listen to your own signal on?? The original longer hang time after you un-keyed was definitely the roger beep.

In the upper right hand corner of the display it shows the roger beep enabled. Operator error :)

I can say from personal experience it will look even sweeter in your shack. Yes my radio budget is wrecked for a while but so worth it.

I agree with CK on rf getting into the tuner. I used to use an LDG tuner that would hunt for a tune when it didn't need to and just grind until I bypassed it. Just turn off the tuner and check the swr.
