I would not do that since it (Mag Mount) it is already grounded..
If it was needed then they would market the mount
as a mag mount + ground wire
It looks like crap and sometimes makes antenna hard
to tune out right.
What I did after spending an afternoon with Kale...
Well as matter of fact I do get it, however I did not present
in theory or state anything as a fact other than my personal
experience..
I do not claim to be a engineer or anyone of higher learning,

B M, I wasn`t going to reply but after reading so much BS
I just can`t help myself.
To Answer Your Question Directly, Yes I have tried them all
and I mean them all and NO I can not tell the difference.
If there is a difference, It would take a field strength meter
and a fixed site to...
With so many of the forum members joining the Amateur
ranks, I felt the need to share this artical I came across.
What impressed me the most was not so much the How
as was the Why, to give this some consideration.
Not everyone will see this as I did however some
will see the cookie...
Dont`t know about watches or that sort of thing...
The reason I posted was because conputers will NOT adjust
to this new time change without the patch, unless and then
only possibly IF you have auto updates turned on and that
is only in XP or Vista.

The 66" comes with the Wilson 5000....
Actually when the dealers buy the Wilsons they come
in a small box for both the 1000 @ 5000. The dealer buys
the whips in a tube with X number of stingers and he can
mix and match.
If it is a CB or Ham shop, then he should know by now to
get some...
Just thought I would give a heads up to those that
are not aware, or may have forgotten about the new
time changes that will go into effect next month...

Passed the written Element II @ Element III test on

License issued on 4/28/2003.
Like many of us who needed code to become a General

I am ready for it and the Extra class also, so I can play on my
favorite haunt :) 20...
Least no one think otherwise, they are mounted on seperate
poles and the I 10K is at 42 ft.base and the Quad is at 36 foot
to boom center.
It should be a bit higher by about 9 ft. so the feed point
would be at 36 ft. I believe.
Diamond shape, feed at bottom for flatside polarity.

Copper-Weld Wire cut a little longer than center of CB band.
Really not much worth mention, except I work a lot of AM
on the lower side and tuner seems to handle the high side
when and if needed a bit better.
I have not seen over 1.5 SWR from 26.400 thru 27.800
without ever using tuner...
I have a Cubex Quad 2 Element Antenna
to compliment my I 10K from Jay.
Very happy with both of them, since I believe both
