    Another 102 Whip Questions

I drive an 2000 Peterbilt with the 73" uni-sleeper on it. I was thinking of mounting a 102" whip on one of the grab handles mounted on back of the sleeper. Since the sleeper is made of mostly aluminum I know that I have to run a ground wire from the frame up to the antenna bracket. Now here are...

    A Magnum Question

I know that the Magnum S-9's are on there way out the door. I have come across some of these still for sale. My question is, Is there really that much of a difference between the regular 50 watt S-9 and the 80 watt S-980? What I'm trying to say is, Is it worth paying the extra $70 for 30 more...

    Theft Proofing?

Last week, some idiot who thought that they needed my Magnum S-9 more than I did, stole it right out of 2000 Peterbilt. Is there some way to secure the radio to the mount so that they just can't remove it when they get the urge to take what ain't theirs because they're low on pills or cash...

Your first CB? what year started? any other radio interest?

My first was back in 1978. It was a Teaberry 40 ch. tube type base station. I remember it well cause the antenna I was using was an old mag mount and it was standing up on by bed leaning against the wall. Everyone that I talk to that made fun of me when I told where the antenna was at. As far as...

    Need recommendations for big rig

I drive a 2000 Pete sleeper truck everyday and I'm using a Magnum S-9 with a RK-56 mic, the antennas are the 4.5' Francis CB25 CB Antenna's. They are pre-tuned from the Francis Antenna factory so tuning it to the vehicle is usually not necessary, making it the antenna of choice for anyone...

    Coupon Code for Sparky's

Well there's a place for a coupon code on his page. If he don't intend to use coupons, then why stick it on the page? Besides I've tried calling all day to place an order and someone picks up and then hangs up. I guess they just don't want my business!
