i was talking on it and it was doing around 100 w- then it just droped to 2 watts. all the way around. am ssb. low swr 1.5 months of tallking thin this. i had another radio on near it. what do yall think happend??? im lost.

no one reads this stuff radio is second hand i got it this way. i got it fixed. was a bad power cord. now im lineing it up. and seting it for 100 i need no more than 100 watts. am ssb what ever. see if im alowed to run 200. then i run 100-150 only just to make sure my rig is wright.even...

fixed the new power cord fixed it it is at 150 am and 200 ssb all the way around. its good to know i can bye a junk one on ebay. if you can go that nut case price. i cant. 73s kj4mqa bill

found the prob it was a bad power cord. the ground was bad. put new cord on it and it cam to life. so thank you all for the help. this way we all no where to start looking first. 73s kj4mqa bill

ok ok thats a good place to look. thank you.i was thinking final but it could be the thermal switch. the bad fan could have shorted it.or the finals. the fan was locked down . and i have no idea how long it was talked on like that. 73s kj4mqa

no blown fuse no blown fuses. it just goes dead and you unkey its back.

ok thats all fine and good byt ssb shuts down on keyup. not all about the watts. i really dont care what it does as long as it does it. shutting down since i got it. just dont cut it. and as you can tell im not a whiner. im trying to fix it.and use it. wright now i cant use it. so...

100 i would be happy with 100 watts.or even 80

both ssb it shuts down at 20 watts on a dosy and my mfj and it runs 50 and shuts down on am. the more audio you put in the faster it shuts down. ssb with the mike gain up 75% it shuts off as soon as you key it up.

25 amp i use a 22 amp 25 amp surge pyle. swr 1.2

plenty adde it had a bad fan and the guy i got it from kept on tallking on it. i replaced the fan. it got better .and went from 25-to 40 watts. before it kicks out. so i guess its the finals. thanks for the help 73s kj4mqa

swr good yes the swr or 1.2 the prob was worse before i put the fan on it. it also sounds like a fan running in the back ground even with the mike gain off?? thanks for the help. 73 kj4mqa

i have a ts-430 it kicks off the radio when more than 40 watts output is reached. had a bad fan. but replaced it and still same prob. you can key up 50. but if you talk it. shuts down. if you turn on the proc. it shuts off right then. any help would be great. 73s kj4mqa it is fixed...
