 You might as well go 36' feet to put the antenna at one full wave length above ground. And you might want to use a 21' piece of 2" sch-40 galvanized pipe for the bottom. Or get two pieces that you can slide together and bolt. If the shed is a strong one you won't need ugly guy wires...
Good eal on the RW station, 17 and 20 were in good shape this eve I copied a few JA stations and worked a few in South America and the west coast had a good time.
Victim is not the work for it I'm being treated like a nobody and victimized. I have forward all my docs. to my Lawyer all he said was that he was going to have a ball with this one. They are also investigating any class action lawsuits and complaints against Cingular for this type of behavior...
Just a word of warning, In January I setup a new cell phone plan with CINGULAR WIRELESS I've had so many bad experiences with these idiots it is unreal, as most people that know me can say that I am a very fair and laid back person and it does take quite a bit to tick me off, Cingular Wireless...
Just a simple thing No, but for a wire antenna like that one and to be able to properly tune it, you should have it up in the air a ways to reduce the ground affect on the lower bands. At 30 feet its a ground digger. I had a G5RV at about 30 feet and it was a bugger to tune mainly because it was...
30 feet minimum? You'll have the earthworms popping out of the ground like that. That antenna will never show a very good SWR it requires a tuner and a 4:1 balun. A autotuner will have a tough time with an antenna like this. The old timers could explain it better than I ever could but with a...
You can use the 102's by adding a simple counterpoise to each antenna. or mounting them onto a metal roof. This would work ok and still be cheeper than buying a wonder antenna. (Wonder how they get all that gain)
(Wonder why I'm bleeding the TV)
Or you could make a trick stick out of the two...
Hay 1220 when I drove by Sonwatchers place I saw black spots on the shingles from that big yagi burning that signal out the attic. I don't know about that 10 watt story anymore :)
Gulf Alpha makes some good stuff. I heard Cubex quads is for sale and also Lightningbolt quads are no longer in...
I have a Icom 706MIIG it transmits fine on AM but the RX is bad. the filter is too wide and receives everything in the general area and if the filter is switched on then its way to narrow and the rx audio is distorted. Icom says they combine the FM and Am filter. Its bad has anyone else seen...
Crusader-
We feel for you man, Canada's prices are up there too. I don't know how we deal with prices like that. I guess we should feel lucky here in the U.S. but things are tough all over.
