Gonna work on it and make sure to put in two good resistors in before trying to use it. I was surprised it actually was able to work with those two bad resistors.

Thanks yeah I will post some pics this weekend, it definitely warms up I will be attaching a muffin fan to it. Is an swr range of 1-1.5 safe on these things I am not sure how sensitive they are in that range for the finals.
Curious what is the safe deadkey and max swing for testing dummy loads with this White Tornado 225 plus?
seems like a real nice little amplifier, it is definitely clean output looking at it on the scope, it hits about 200 watts, its a class AB1 amp and I would say its an accurate description...

Thermal image video of the radio after heavy use, where other radios eventually fail is due to inadequate cooling resulting in the eventual breakdown of the PA transistors. BTW got good contacts up to the Blue Ridge mountains barefoot on...
I use a 102inch whip with a 4 inch spring, drilled a hole into a 40 quart stock pot and used it as the base for the antenna. I get good SWR across the band.

Usually what they do is move the hash somewhere, kind of like sweeping the dirt somewhere else. When I have time I will probably look for it with the scope. There are some switchers that actually have a tuning knob. :)

hehe, wait till you get it and you open up the box and lift up that radio for the first time. :D
Its worth saving for. One good radio would last you a lifetime, and its cheaper in the long run when you think of it.

I bought a galaxy 979 for the jeep, it was 141 dollars for the whole thing. It has the blue led and it was made in Malaysia. The microphone was defective out of the box, but I had a power mike for it.
Ssb is off by 320hz out of the box :D when I have time I will align it.
It's a good am radio...
Your right thats why a good switch is not cheap. You can buy a crap switch and blow a 400-800 dollar radio or invest in a proper switch and do it right. but it does cost to have a properly engineered and tested switch.
