I don't participate on that frequency because some OO might get my call sign mixed up with someone else's with all the noise and they I'll get a letter for something I've never said. I've heard some call signs down on 75 meters that were from beyond the grave.

Which one do I use? I'm confused about MURS and FRS/GMRS without repeaters. They say FRS/GMRS is better for wrapping around buildings and being side. So if I am on the beach or walking down the boardwalk and I need to stay in touch with someone at the resort which service is better?

I picked up a Drake L4B at a hamfest for $550 and put $250 into that included labor, CAPS in the pwr supply , going over the amp and cleaning it up. It has 2 3z500's tubes. The amp works like a charm and is very quiet/clean. I get great reports with it and it runs great over 1kw.
