I'm not talking about the website guys, I'm talking about the newsletters that was mailed out before the Internet. Did they have general articles, or was it something like Coppers newsletters?

What is the opinion of the KLV 400 linear in the CB community? It seems like the only *new* tube amp available. It seems to me I would be way ahead just going for a mobile unit, and buying a linear power supply. I can buy a Midnight Special and a Linear for the same price as the KLV 400...

In a Base station, I'm talking about that distant station on a quiet night, where you can barely make them out. I can see a preamp built in being useful.

I always like Xforce amps, but what does it mean "Driver Required: N/A"? Does that mean I can drive it with a standard 4 watt CB?

I wonder why don't they build the Preamps into base station radios? I know there are internal preamp kits you can buy and modify your radio to an internal preamp. Would a internal preamp using your CB's internal front end of the receive work better than say an external preamp in a linear...

Do they do a good job, is it worth the extra $$$?

They're not "gone" but "updated to the Connex Saturn, DX2517, 2980DX, and the 2995. I am eyeballing the Connex Saturn, beautiful blue display, roger beep and echo built in. I would like to find a Galaxy Saturn Turbo.:crying:

Exactly, how ya going to sell something at a truck stop when you hurting for cash if you have no CB? I've heard some pathetic truck drivers on the air, need some cash for fuel etc.:bored:

I doubt that, notice how many trucks now have no CB antenna? Especially the dedicate route trucks, I'm seeing fewer CB's in Big Rigs folks. CB is antiquated, user office888 is Right. Refresh the radios, Chrome knobs are like obsolete, should have gone the way of the metal chrome bumpers on...

Did you contact Bells to give them a chance to "make it right?" IMO you could have gotten a "Super Wack Packed" radio from RA.... from what I hear is not good about RA!:thumbdown:
