was working fine till i got my new dosy meter,hooked it up to check swr and couldnt get it to set.thought the meter was defective so i hooked the 2510 to it and could set and check swr no problem.went back to the rci and noticed there was a slight arcing sound when keyed up.upon further...
theres 3 sets of jumpers,none labled.which is which? cbtricks board layout dosnt label them either.if someone has a pic pointing out the jumper IDs(j1,j2 ect) id be gratefull,all i found searching was the procedure with no diagrams.
yes we tested them in the same place,there arent any radio techs locally,i wonder if i should find someone to send it to to have it calibrated.ive read good reports on this meter and they can still be had under the redman label and the MFJ grandmaster looks identical also.
i got this meter from a friend a long time ago and always thought it was accurate till another friend got a brand new astatic 700.i checked the swr in my mobile with the new wilson 5000,matcoe 225 plus and a uniden pro 510 providing the signal.antenna is on the roof and my meter shows 1.1 swr...
found this in a uniden pro510 a friend gave me.i had to unhook it due to a short that turned out to be two resistors touching causing a constant keyup.problem is i didnt note where all the wires connected.i know the red and grey are power and the blue was hooked to rec on the mic plug.i believe...
my 2001 hyundai elantra put some major RFI from the fuel pump so i just took an automotive condensor and hooked it to the positive and ground and "poof" the noise from the pump is pretty much gone....now i have to put one on the cooling fan cause when it kicks in i hear it for sure.
