Who's bright idea was it to bring EBOLA into the US?

It is one thing to be sent off to fight am enemy that will try and kill you by all means necessary including NBC warfare and be able to respond with equal or superior fire power. It is quite another to be set off to fight an enemy that you cannot attack and can not defend against. That is the...

Who's bright idea was it to bring EBOLA into the US?

The problem presented by Ebola in this country will continue to increase unless drastic measures are taken. Gov't isn't the answer at least under the current gutless leadership. Our health care& disease control system is run-a-muck because there is no leader. By design we have been with out a...

    Intereting Comparison of Modes

Probably the best example comparing the most used modes I found this rather interesting to see the band widths and here the difference, now I can SEE why LSB is preferred to USB.

    Leon River Chili recipe

I live on Tortillas. I always have a Big sack of masa in the kitchen. The corn chip option is for all the chili eaters that buy their tortillas in plastic sacks at the Piggly Wiggley but then they probably make chili & bean soup:eek:

    Power mic on SSB?

The txmit power on SSB comes from the ALC and that is controlled with the mic gain. The only time a Power mic is really of value is if the radio is modulating at less than 100%. Since you have had a P&T done and I hope it was done properly a power mic IMO would be self defeating, as you would...

    Power mic on SSB?

A good stock mic on SSB will sound better than a noise canceller. Modulation over 100% is defeating on SSB because you will over drive the ALC and your speech will be clipped and garbled.

Stopping channel bleed over for locals.

Maybe I I'm daft but I believe the question posed by 8113 was what he could do to help out the receive on his station because of all the dirty stations around him. Installing a Beam would help a little if the dirty stations where off the side and some what if in the rear but if he needs to swing...
