Bought me a HF radio and now would like to no what all bands can I use the Imax 2k on ?.... Any you guys using this antenna ?... Also, I have a Maco 3 element beam, should I keep this beam and tune it for the 10m band, or just sell it ?.. What do you guys recommend me doing with the beam ?

Well I received the radio and checked the swr on 28.305.00 up to 28.500.00 and the first bar on the left side of the swr meter lights up, this is a 1.1, according to the swr meter in the radio ?.....and as you talk on it the swr peaks up to a 2...this is with the radio set on a 100 watts...

I ordered one of these radios, and the big brown truck delivered it 2 days late due to all the bad weather we have had here this past week......I have to say those guys do a fine job, and the box the radio was in, no damage done to it, even tho it had a long and rough ride...we had 14" snow...

For 10m use, best radio I've used was a RCI radio, but you won't find one of the 2900 series radios new, they have been discontinued.. The other radios that has the 10m band in them, have no idea what they do or sound like on 10m...

Go to your local hardware store and buy 2 or 3 joints of 21ft joints of pipe and build you one....just get the sections of pipe and slide them inside each other and drill a hole through them to hold them in place and make you a hinge to raise and lower it....that way the bottom wont kick out on...

What all does the IC 718 lack compared to the 450d.

Any of you guys buy a TS 500 from hy electronics, and have them to convert it to use on 11m band? I talked to those guys a few days ago about doing this, I also ask about retuning it after this is done so the swr would be ok when I received it and they told me they did do this just wondering...

I've been looking at HF radios for the last few days and the used ones I've seen most are asking almost as much as a new FT 450D cost.. Have also did some research on the ft 450d radio, and most people running this radio loves it, and out of the 113 reviews I seen those guys rated this radio...

I used to run a XF40012HD base amp here, ran it a few years with a couple different combinations and it did a good job, on AM as well as SSB.... Also ran a few XF mobile amps on a power supply all did a good job..

Any you guys here running this radio ? Like to hear about the pros and cons on it...

Any of you guys use these on your coax ?..... If so, how well do they work... These things work any better than a choke..

The 2950dx uses a power supply of 13.8v, 20 amp to run it...and recommends the radio to dk 1 watt and swing 12-13 watts, no more than this.....this radio isn't for person who runs AM most of the time, but for a person who talks on SSB mostly... I just looked at the review cb magazine did on...

I've always put a ground wire on the bottom u clamp where it connects to the mast pipe and also another grd from the bottom of the mast pipe to a grd rod..can't have enough grounds I guess..
