I modded my 857 and I manually put in offset all works great..but that's all I know..I've never had a radio with ARS..now I just need to find out why I cant bring down the swr on 11 meters
Can you bring the wattage back up in the hidden menu. I just bought this radio and havnt done the mod yet...im thinking of putting switches on the jumpers to change it back to factor specs..i havnt even opened the box up..maybe its to small to solder something like that.
Most ovet the road truckers dont use cb's anymore. Either they dont speak english or its pointless conversations and turn them off..alot of local guys still run cb for gravel hauling and other dirt work. Im getting my base going again.
Does anybody know how to hook up a frequency counter...i bought a cheapy chinese freq counter..put a bnc to pl259 and plugged the coax from my radio to counter??? Nothing started smoking...but had crazy frquency fluctuation
