@Crawdad
Thanks for the band info. I guess that the dealer did the diode add on to get the 11 meters on the radio enabled in the first place, so if the above fix works then all is good....
Thank-you NightThumper for the above fix. You went to a lot of trouble to post the vid and attachments.
I'll try that out during the week and hopefully it will do the biz.
When I got the radio last week the 11 meters was on the radio. It was on the D band which showed up after the F band. I wanted to put it in "normal" sequence and that's when trouble perked its ugly head up.....
I purchased a Lincoln 2 + only last week. I wanted to get the bands to work in an a,b,c,d,e, etc sequence. I found the menus to be confusing and ended up not doing a reset but doing an initializing of the radio that put it back to the ham frequencies. I have to send it back to the dealer I got...

You could if you were going to go portable use a Skyper type yagi beam wire antenna. They are according to the guys that make them the ideal choice for portable ops.
Fishing poles and wire. Light enough for carrying around.
Supposed to be as effective and on par with those dirty great beams you...
Good Morning Captain K. No I didn't do a retune. It didn't enter my mind to do that. I thought how it was funny that there was no signal on cw.
I'll do a retune next time I hear it. There was a distinct rhythm in the message, like a one note musical piece. It might sound silly to say, but it was...
Good morning folks, its 00:28 hrs as of this posting. Got another question. At the moment I'm listening on 28.295.00 on USB and there is a Morse pattern active on the frequency. I don't know any of the code but from listening to it it seems to be a repetitive pattern. Its signal strength rises...
