Most VHF/UHF antennas by Comet and Diamond DO NOT NEED A GROUND. I have several Antennas and Mounts by them that do not require a ground and I can open repeaters up to 90 miles away.
No Mod needed. Just move the cursor to the number you want to move. Adjust it, then move to the next digit. It will work with the last digit being 5, 0, or something else.
Congrats on passing your Ham test. When I got mine it took 23 days to get mine. When I upgraded, my upgrade was posted the very next day. Most that I see are posted in about 4-7 days. It won't be long now until you're Official.
