I don't have a worse.

My Kenwood TH-28A for HAM.
And my HR2510 for 10 meter.
I do remember some old 23 channel radios my Father had that were awful.
My old Galaxiy radios were nice, sold them not knowing the outcome of time.
tracker.
Mind you brownstone, Doc from Doc's electronics told me on a long telephone conversation that the finals in these radios handle 80 watts easy.
He proceeded to tell me he sets them to about 50 watts.
You can see from Rogerbirds mods they can go pretty good on power beyond that on SSB!
Well...
Rogerbird's Radio Modification Information Page
I'm sending mine to Rogerbird this week.
Above is his site.
You may find help there?
He might even answer your post with suggestions?
All here are helpful.
Rogerbird can fix it for you if you decide to send it out to him
He...
Brownstone
If you have searched some threads here you will see that there are some problems with these due to age.
Mine has some other problems but I would hold tight for now and leave it off until you get some "feedback" to avoid any damage that might occur.
Sorry I cant be of any more...
Hi Rogerbird1
With these values or diodes changed to see the display, would that fix the Xmit problem as the radio still has no Xmit?
hotrod, does yours Xmit? Also go to Rogerbird's web site for info. LOTS of stuff there that might help you.

Hi all.
My friend changed all the caps that are associated with a defective HR 2510 today.
We also cleaned the glue on the 2 transistors on the small top board.
He says that all voltages to the transistors seems ok.
There is still no display but the back light works.
He says that it does...
I'm still listening to her.
I thought from the clips that Marconi sent us she was a "one style" player.
She covers ALL the bases of music gender!
Just amazing.
I E-mailed the Ellen DeGeneres show to see if they ever heard of her?
She would be perfect for her show and then others would...
I spent most of the afternoon watching her on YouTube.
So, so very talented!!
She can make that harp TALK!!
The passion she puts into it comes out 3 fold.
Marconi, does she do this professionally?
Myself, having been a professional musician in the past, she would be sought by many to...
Hi all.
Called Doc today but he wasn't available as he was resting.
The lady at the other end gave me a quick report.
Seems like Doc was in the hospital for a few days.
Without going into details, he was not well but back home and resting and doing much better now.
Thought I would share...
Hi Cap.
It's just so wild to think that they are allowed to "free climb".
One would think that there would be some type of equipment up there to protect them that would still make the climb effective?
I guess parachutes are out as if used in an emergency, they could hit a guide wire and slip...
Hi all.
Not sure if I posted this before?
Mods, sorry if it's not in the right place but could not find an "off topic" section.
Please move if need be.
I get vertigo just watching this!!

World's Scariest Job is Today's BIG Thing - SEP 15, 2010
Nice!!
I have 2, if I remember right 135's in the closet.
One is more of a parts machine and the other untouched.
Soon when I set up my antenna I will pull them out.
I don't know about yours but mine has the "funky" flip clock in them.
Now, that was technology!!! LOL!
Good performing...
Thanks for the words Doc.
Your calm words indicate to me you have read my whole post from start to finish!!
I'm doing 60 plus miles full quiet in repeaters with my 1/2 copper "j" pole on 10 watts. Got 40 more.
In the old CB days 5-15 watts, bigger badder and higher was the norm for antennas...
Thanks for the reply Six-Shooter.
I agree with you that the Larsen products are good but WAY out of my price range.
The retailer here in Canada does not even carry a Larsen 5/8 antenna.
All They carry are the smaller dual band as the MFJ-1729.
Being that the MFJ has more gain for half the price...
Hello again all.
I received an E-mail from the place where I ordered the Hustler RX-2 antenna and they are "back ordered" for about 4 weeks which is not a big problem for me as I still have to mount the radio.
I was thinking after I ordered it that it might be a little too tall and funny...
After some research, I just ordered the Hustler RX-2.
Sure there are many better units and it is a little on the "big" side, but price and performance is what I was looking for and this one seems to fit right in those parameters.
For how often I will be using it and having repeaters all around...
Thanks quiksilver.
I don't have equipment to do all the mods as I have read a lot of things posted by Rogerbird.
I was thinking of asking Rogerbird if he was interested in doing it.
I may if Doc is not feeling up to it.
It's not that Rogerbird is "second choice", it's just that I have already...
