So I want to build an amp with the parts I have aquired based around 4X150A but need some help.

So I have a bunch of odd ball parts that have slowly found their way into my parts bin. I think I have some place around 10-20 4X150A mostly Jan 7034 NOS in various questionable states. About half of them are still sealed in their Eimace or Jan Packaging NOS. The rest are still sealed int he...

I think I might have posted something similar before. Think ready made mic pre-amp compressor

They are under $5 each on the ebay. I have not used them but we are all familar with this family of parts in past products that where fairly expensive in the past. Add a voltage regulator if the radio you are installing it in does not 3V-5V internaly and you have a lot of performance for cheap!

My Grandpa gave me my first CB radio a 23 channel Pace 123 I think it was. I love that man with all my heart and soul. I am not 1/100th of the man he was! My Grandfather and my Dad are truly hero's to me. Not perfect men but incredible men all the same!

Speech processors: do you use one?

MMM is doing a bunch of stuff to the audio and the rf. MMM is using Compression, Downward Expansion, Asseymetry, EQ and a lot more audio power to rf power than is typical outside of broadcast radio. IN fact he might be exceeding that as well. He is using a lot of audio band width and rf...

In contesting where getting heard is the only thing that matters that is where overly processed audio and SSB meet. You have to remeber that most amateuter radio operators see AM as a mode as almost as bad as pedophillia is to the masses. So you will almost never see compression, downward...

Speech processors: do you use one?

For the ignorant a lot of radio's like but not limited tot he Cobra 138XLR had speech processing int he form of built in compression that is always on. Idiots would yank those parts of the audio chain out and bypass it then slap on a power mic. When not talking about contesting on SSB...

Well the AR3300 and 3500 where offered with the SP1-a from the factory so any "keep it stock untouched" is just stupid thinking on your part since it and a 100w single 2879 insternal amp could be added tot he 3500 from the factory. If the factory "molests" the radio before they send it to you...

RF Clipping as TenTec 715 for instance does is still operating on the audio. They are transforming the audio into RF doing the clipping and amplifying int he RF realm then converting it back to audio before injecting it back intot he radio. Now if we are talking about RF clipping and...

Best source for legit MB8719 PLL?

I have seen guys with too much time on their hands or a real interest break out a pll on some bread board to shift pins and such to do home brew channel expansion. If I could buy one pre-made I might consider it but I am not making my own. That juice is not worth the squeeze today. Now that...

If you can not figure that out with a google search your not smart enough to own it. Like giving a toddler a loaded hand gun! Noise Toys are for loosers and drunks that have no place on civilized 2 way radio communication. I only drink and post on internet I never drink and talk on the radio...

Remove wx board from the Uniden 78 Elite?

I have not ran into a low IQ WX board. I have run into some low IQ CB'er's some ignorant ones as well though. I wish we could remove them from the hobby. Same for all of the like minded amateur radio operators! So this board and the coresponding switch or knob ate at you so much morning, noon...
