is your tv antenna on the same tower/mast as any of your radio antennas?? if your tv is close to your radio stuff you could use the 2m or 6m antenna with an adapter to an F connector, get a cheapo tv splitter and use it to combine the 2m or 6m antenna and your real tv antenna into 1 line then...

I have a 40m dipole that is only about 20' off the ground fed with 300ohm twin lead to a Johnson matchbox and it works fine 40m-10m, I have no problems making contacts, even QRP when I hook up the BITX40(QRP 5watts) try it and see what happens

id put the 9:1 on top of the pvc pipe and route your wire from there,, also id put the choke balun on your feedline just before it enters your house/shack to keep the rf outside, the braid of the coax is the other 1/2 of your antenna when using the 9:1 unun end fed

a fan dipole uses a common feed point for all the elements, the mfj-918 or any other 1:1 current balun would work fine

your end fed 9:1 unun end fed is still going to use coax to feed it from the tuner to the 9:1 unun, and you may have a band or 2 with good swr, the others may be high in the 5:1 swr or more so coax loss will be great, even if the tuner is fine with it and you will for sure need some type of...

the 4:1 balun built into the tuner is for using 300-600 ohm ladder line / twin lead / open feed line from what I have read you want to use the single wire terminal on the tuner and have your tuner grounded good,,, ,in that case you just run a single wire from the tuner to outside and where ever...

don't know the sudden interest in this thread ,,, but the radio in the first post was always ran with the variable power all the way down, putting out 8-10w pep , so not really sure what happened
