i have recently noticed while running my 993b with my alinco dx sr8t Via interface i have a much higher noise floor . turning the tuner off solves the problem . a car battery is the power source , so no power supply noise . what gives? any help would be appreciated

my opinion its too short to completly benefit from the super hi grade coax i run a predator 10k and my swr is low and has enhanced my receive

that antenna is flexible enough not to need a spring . i would definitly get a tennis ball for it when offroading . thats just me , nice set up though.

totally agree , people will exhaust all your supplies, if you let them or they might even try to steal from you. my neighbors complain about my antennas. Im not gonna go outta my way for people who look down on me or my hobby.
