maybe just an adjustment,,never have seen a dosy that didn't need a little tweaking
two radios, two meters,
one meter works fine PDC7????
Sounds like it maybe some CMC on line doubtful though at low level of wattage.
Looks like in accurate meter on the dosy, you have basically eliminated about everything there is to check.
VR pot dirty or corroded, had that happen on a 2510 ended up changing the VR and stabilized the voltage.
Dead key kept drifting upwards was the initial problem
De oxit didn't work

Rich Measures has detailed info and instructions on how to improve the input on the SB220 without any HV
Kop I do not make adjustments with power on, slugs can be adjusted from inside the tuned tank circuit, then put lid back on and check the input impedance,,:whistle:
Post damn near three years old,,diggen up bones????
Gary
I will see you there, taking the whole weekend off so be nice to finally meet the voice of the mid west broadcast station on 75 meters finally.:)
Had to read the rest of your post guess your NOT going make it to O town
I used to run a pair of co phased delta lops on 17 meters, compared to my yagi which had 3 active elements the receiving station could not tell any difference in signal strength.
yagi was at 70 feet AGL the delta loops at 30 feet AGL.
got to enjoy the wires a lot of fun to play with.
When 10 meters is open 5 watts into a wet noodle for an antenna will work.
good three or four element yagi and 100 watts from a transceiver is GREAT.
Now if you are referring to use on 10 meters and 11 meters running massive amount of class C splatter watts then by all means take into...
should be two wire connector in front of the finals, just unplug it to disable the amp section, yes brown wire is correct.
if you want to add a switch, use brown wire to switch then you can turn amp on and off

looks like...
Just put up a half wave dipole as high as you can get it.
My best guess is only a few percentage of ops actually have an antenna 1/2 wl AGL for 160 meters.
neighbor use to work 160 and half his dipole stretched across my back pasture.
actual height AGL was around 20 feet using a push up pole...
KIDD just apply yourself and you will get there.
it is a lot of fun, and some disappointment as well
but overall well worth the effort to get the privilege's of working the hf bands
Hey KIDD you going to enjoy that FT1000MP mkV
I am using one here but I do put a fan blowing on the fins, helps keep it cooler.
so many features in that rig take a month of reading the manual get used to all the functions.
