Started picking up for me. Logged Houston, TX, Wisconsin, and Michigan so far from Tennessee

Tried an amp out on my radio, dead key getting swr of 1 but when I talk it's hitting in 20. What would cause this? Would the 1 foot jumper from radio to amp be causing this?

I'm hoping to make a couple qso's this evening. Currently working at my side job, and I spend 90 percent of my time in my truck so I'll have some play time. Just fired up radio and seems conditions are not the best currently

Anyone got any good recommendations on an amp for this radio to install in truck. Wanting to sling some power but don't want an amp too big that's a pain to find a place to install

Got mine installed yesterday. Hoping to get some playtime with it this evening. I know conditions are not the best right now, but if someone wants to try to link up on the airwaves this evening let me know and we will try to make it happen

Never fails I'm stuck at work and conditions are picking up. Here lately every off day I've had conditions have been horrible

I'm not looking for filtering the audio. Noise canceling I am meaning is if using in a noisy environment it blocks out external noise

I am a complete newbie to this hobby, and wanting to learn as much as I can. Can you use noise cancelling headphones with a CB? Would I just need to find a 3.5mm female to 4 pin adapter? I know this is probably a stupid question but trying to learn as much as I can
