    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

Buy the Retevis HS4 and be done with it. Look close and enlarge the attached photo I received from a radio dealer in the United Kingdom. The original check-mark was for a AT-5555 Plus and was erased. I doubt that the factory did that. Buyer beware!

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

Supposedly an updated (latest and greatest) reduced noise reduction circuit? I have the AT-5555Plus and the RETEVIS Ailunce HS4. The HS4 has the same "bell and whistle" as the AT-5555Plus N and I cannot hear / notice the difference. I posted a review relating to the N version on 11 September...

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

Yes, I am aware of that and that is why I sent an email to them and they replied with the photos to confirm they have the "N" version. If you are serious about ordering the N version, I recommend for you to call and order by phone to verify you are buying the N version.

Just ordered a Delta M2 desk mic.......

I've been using the DELTA M2 for three years with no problems. Never installed the battery. AC adapter only. Tone and Modulation on #4. Easy fix to prevent locking the mic button by taping the stem of a cotton swab.

    Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

In that case, they should replace Highlander's radio for free.

    Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

This is my personal opinion and hunch. Radio retail shops are provided access to Service Menus for the radios they sell. When a buyer requests a tune-up, alignment, peak and tweak, etc. etc., the shops tune-up the radios to the advertised maximum power the customer expects.

    Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

Well then, your process of elimination may be that there is a good possibility the RF Power settings need to be increased by accessing the Service Menu and the folks at Radioddity will have the answer.

    Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

Maybe the radio left the assembly line with the RF power intentionally set with a 2 watt Low dead-key and a 8 watt High dead-key and you need to change the values in the Service Menu? We have received one new President Washington mobile, two new Retevis HS4 and one new version AT-5555 Plus and...

    Radioddity QT-80 Warranty/Service

Is that one of those radios that you have to access the Service Menu to adjust / set the Low and High RF Power values?

    "New" President Washington consensus?

My local neighbor (about fifteen-miles from my home) has the new Washington mobile and we have been "testing the water" with different RF power settings. His radio has the President external fan kit. With the RF Power dead-key set at six-watts and transmitting, the thermostatically controlled...

    RETEVIS HS4 User Manual

For those who are not aware. On Page 7 in the User Manual, the RNR option is not listed / identified, but Menu Function No. 9 in the radio is the location of the menu to adjust / set the desired noise reduction level from 1 - 5 or Off. I know of three out of three HS4 radios and User Manuals...

    Best slug for 300-800 watts

Be prepared for "sticker-shock". Don't jump in the water yet until you research other alternatives and watt meters prior to spending close to $500.00 for two slugs.

    Best slug for 300-800 watts

For a BIRD wattmeter? I would recommend a 500 watt slug and a 1000 watt slug. Or, the BIRD Model 4410-A wattmeter with a 4410-5 slug but it does not indicate PEP watts.
