I used to build 2 element 11m yagis using a delta match to a 4:1 transformer at the coax connector. Once I began experimenting with the Moxon antenna I never built another 2 element yagi.

So far, the only thing that's happened is I saw it, I thought it, and I bought it.

It will be dismantledand reassigned into a couple of Moxon antennas. The thermal bag goes into file 13.

You see an insulated portable lunch box. I see 8 perfectly formed 1/2" aluminum Moxon antenna corners. Probably a 2m, and 10m.

Personally, having used and/or built all three type antennas, delta loop, 2el yagi, and Moxon, my choice would be the Moxon. Comparable (I'd say better) performance, less wind load, and lighter than the other two.

When you get an opportunity purchase a trailer wheel assembly. Get the back plate with the spindle, or make one. Place this with the spindle pointed upward. Set your mast pipe over the spindle/dust cap. Your mast will now rotate with ease.
