    I talk to a local group on 11. But I usually use a separate radio on a ground plane for that.

    well its fall. finally. ive been running an ocfd with a 4:1 current balun for a couple years. good matching. easy install. running north to south in a more or less inverted vee. 45ft at the feed point. its all fine and dandy. but ive been wondering a few things. and yeah its the same old thing...

    Anytone AT 6666 150 watts?

    I remember coil spreading. Pretty sure cb tricks back in the day had us doing that. Watching a power meter you could eek out a little more movement, but most of us didn’t have scopes where we could see what was going on.

    Jpole radials

    If I was a radial, I’d guess at the base of the antenna. Not being a smart ass. My jpole has a flat base. It does not have the typical long downward leg. Think like an arrow antenna where it has the two elements extending off the base upward
