My Comet mount took a dump while traveling down I35 the other day. Antenna hung on by the coax. I thought it was ok, but when I replaced the mount, it seems the coax is not attached in the connector. Will have to either try to fix it or buy another short length of coax. :( Sorry the Windows...
I kind of like the rules as they are now. I know there are still Novices and Tech's that have been the same license class their whole life, but I think the current privileges give a Tech enough of a taste of HF to be an incentive to upgrade. Adding more base level privileges just discourages...
5024Yeah, the Yaesu ATAS 120A went a floppin' while I was traveling at 70 mph today on the freeway. Hey! What was that thump!?! No fun. At least the antenna and coax held until I could pull over. I am stuck with this type of mount due to this being a work car that is on a fleet/lease...

Part of the perceived problem with the FT- 891. The bigger the display, the more juice it draws. Not so great for portable, but I love mine for mobile.

Hey just to be clear, not trying to steal any thunder from Mudfoot on the Windows program. I will be downloading it as well. As an Android alternative, this ain't bad.

I may not have time to check this out for a few days... anyone else want to give it a whirl?
On edit to be clear, this is the Pocket rx/tx android program by Dan Toma. It is on Google Play.
