My bad, I wrote 2290 Covered in paint to obscure the number? I hate when these guys do that crap. You can desolder the base and collector tabs and test all 4 transistors and go from there, one of them may have failed open. With Toshiba transistors they were consistent, you could just swap out...

That resistor gets hot if there is a imbalance in the two transistor pairs. I hate to suggest that one of those 2290's has failed, but..... 73 Jeff

Holy crap Last time I bought these they were about $6 Now $15 on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-PL-259-Female-SO-239-Connector/dp/B0FZ62Z86R $45 bucks is ridiculous for 3 adapters...... You are probably better off going the coax adapter at that cost...

If you are connecting and disconnecting coax frequently I have used these on my bench in the past. Push-on Pl 259 adapter. 73 Jeff

When I was first playing CB radio many many years ago I had a texas star modulator, no bias, single transistor. Started getting into SSB , delay is easy, bigger cap, boom,no chattering. My little brother could 100% tell me when I was using the modulator, so I had him run it in his car, yep...

Replied The new device will replace the 9530 but it's not compatible so you will have to replace all the the ERFs with the new RB part to repair the amp. Current cost $13.99 each from Rocket.

Interesting note The Rocket amps guy that uses Eric's 9530 devices stopped building for a while, rumors were that they ran out of mosfets. Now they are going again and said that the new amps are 24 volt capable and more tolerant to higher SWR. Yet still palamor says out of stock on erf's. So I...
