    You know how on the FT-101e when you want to tune the radio or an amp, you would switch to CW for a steady carrier I'm having brain fart on my new to me icom 746 non-pro when I put tit on CW no carrier is produce I would have to use audio or whistle on ssb There's got to be another way

    Has anyone here owned or currently own an Ameritron AL-811H? If so, have you performed the internal fan and bias correction as suggested by W8JI? Which bias setting did you use: low, medium, or high? Additionally, did you set the fan speed to low or high? I primarily engage in rag-chew on SSB.

    I'm picking up an Ameritron AL-811H, and I'm using an Icom IC-746 nonpro if I don't use the alc port, can i use the send RCA from the radio to amp relay port to key the amp ?? or would i need a foot switch for the amp
