    Antenna Adapter??

I know this is an old thread but since it has been revived, there is an excellent commercially available adapter called a Comet AD-35M SO-239 to 3/8X24 Adapter. I believe MFJ also has a version of this (MFJ-7710) that looks identical. Sorry after looking again this appears to be the wrong gender.

    Gizmotchy Antenna Review

Just an update... Tom Charles sent me an email with a correction to spacing between the 1st and 2nd directors, it is 44" not the 45" he previously stated. Now if I could just find out what the conflicting information is all about on the 2nd director length I would feel better about the assembly...

    New antenna from Sirio Gain-Master

Not wishing to hijack the Sirio GM thread with Gizmotchy trivia but to answer your question... no nothing specific, either some love them or others are skeptical. I posted in the thread for the unfinished review that Happy Hamer was doing that I was a little concerned that it appears it was...

    Gizmotchy Antenna Review

I know this is an old thread and apparently the review was never finished. I am currently building one of these and was a little concerned about some of the comments on the 2nd director length and spacing. The directions that came with the booster kit does clearly state that the element length...

    New Galaxy 2517 Purchase

I am about to bite the bullet on a new Galaxy 2517, It seems most vendors offer tune/align/expand for an additional fee. Is this really needed or recommended, if so why. Does the manufacturer not do a good enough job? Will it make that big of a difference? I am confident that I could tweak...

New Galaxy DX2547 with IRF520 Mosfet finals

A couple questions for the experts... My month old (stock) Galaxy DX2547 dropped from the factory 4 watt output on high to 1 watt seemingly overnight for no obvious reason. I am running an IMAX 2000 with a 1:1 swr pretty much accross the band. I was not going to open this radio as long as it...

I searched the web and several forums and never came up with an answer so hopefully somebody here knows the answer... What size mast will the Imax 2000 mounting clamps accept in it's stock form? My tower will accept a maximum of 1-1/2", will I have to buy new clamps and modify the Imax...
